The 'Sharm-el-Sheikh' of the Baltics About Jurmala Jurmala – the largest seaside resort
in the Baltic States, is well-known for its natural treasures – the mild
climate, healthy sea air, curative mud and mineral water. The attraction
of Jurmala lies in its almost 33 km long white sandy beach, large pine
forest and the natural border of the city – the river Lielupe. In Jurmala,
You will discover a mix of charming wooden houses that were built at the
beginning of the last century and modern resort buildings.
Tucked away in the forest between Dzintari and Majori, you will spot this attractive restaurant, which adjoins the modern Amber Sea Hotel and is one of Jurmala's best kept secrets! The restaurant here prides itself on serving some of the finest food at reasonable prices. During the summer, there is a special barbecue (shashlik) menu and no better place to sample it than on the outside terrace, surrounded by lush pine trees. Service is professional and for some reason, Martini Asti seems to be well promoted and rightly so!
This tasty eatery is located on Jurmala's main strip - Jomas Street. Although it may not appear very appealing from the outside, once you enter the premises and see the attractive interior touches, you might just change your mind. The next surprise is likely to be the efficient service and more importantly, the very tasty food, served in quite large portions. You might catch a glimpse of a tasty dessert with the cafe logo on it or some delicious chocolate cake and ice cream - enjoy it!
A relatively new restaurant in the Baltic Beach Hotel that offers a broad menu with very big price variations. Of course, it means that there is something to suit all budgets. Service is prompt and the food is well presented and tastes excellent, as does the wine! But the most interesting aspect is the view of Majori beach, though slightly tucked away behind the strategically placed bushes - a great place to go at sunset and they will even give you a blanket to help you minimise the effects of a cool evening!
